We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. - WaltDisney
Last week was a big week for Justin! He graduated with honors from high school and we were so happy to watch him cross the stage and receive his Certificate of Completion! Because Justin was in special education courses as well as regular education, he hasn't quite met all of the qualifications one is required to meet in order to receive a diploma. But the Certificate of Completion is just fine for him!
After a night of celebration, Justin made sure he stayed up as long as possible that night. This is because the next night was GRAD NIGHT! Justin and the rest of the Class of 2013 from his school would be spending half of the next day at Disneyland and most of the night at California Adventure!
My mom was able to tag along. I was a little jealous, actually. When I graduated high school, we had our Grad Night at Disneyland as well. But we didn't get to go to California Adventure too! I did try and talk my way into my mom's place... obviously it is a spot she wasn't willing to give up... :)
From what they have shared with us, it was an amazing night. I'm so glad that Justin has had such an incredible year. The phrase he has been using every time someone asks him about graduation is, "That's a wrap!'
It's crazy to think Justin isn't in high school anymore. I still am trying to get over the fact he's 18 years old! It's no longer appropriate to call him my 'little' brother; he's almost a whole foot taller than me!
However, he will always be my younger brother. And I'm so very proud of him.

Rock on, dude!
